High removal-risk signals

75/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 7+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 5.2.26, well behind 6.8.
  • Reviews souring. Recent reviews read meaningfully worse than older ones, an early sign of decline.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Deteriorating PraiseSupport gone quietFeature requests

Setup is easy and the autocomplete does its job, but the more recent reviewers say Google Places returns loose address matches that save messy data, and one reports support went quiet on two follow-up requests.

This seamlessly integrates the Google Places API, That was a small hurdle to overcome. The unfortunate part about this is that a validated “place” in Google’s list could be a town name, a street name, a state, a county a business, anything really. When you need restricted full mail addresses this is the worst possible avenue. I’ve seen all different permutations of the address field saved to my database and it isn’t pretty. For a consistent output there are most likely better and more elegant solutions, including but not limited to separate street, city, state, zip fields with their own validation. This needs to be more restrictive and consistent to be a good plugin for the purposes for which it states.

I had really high hopes for this plugin to auto-fill the addresses in my contact form 7 forms. It is very easy to set up and use which I love! However, the customer support is very lacking. I have posted a total of three help requests. One, which involved an error on my part in the set up was answered and resolved within 24 hours! Fabulous! However, I have posted 2 additional requests which addressed the functionality of the plugin and they have not been addressed after several weeks…nothing. One was simply a question about what the plugin could or could not do. The second which is more concerning is that once the address has been auto-filled it does not include the zip code. I think that this is a major problem and it has been completely ignored by the developer. It also does not allow you to mark the address field as a required field if you use the placeholder option. Sorry, this is a bit long, but this plugin is extremely useful, it’s just not quite perfect and the support is terrible.
