Biggest opportunity: Swap “ai content”, “ai content generator” and “article generator” for “ai blog writer”, “gpt 4” and “grok”. “ai content” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “ai blog writer” sits at #23 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “ai content generator” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “gpt 4” sits at #23 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “article generator” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “grok” sits at #24 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

How it's measured →0.5%
of downloads still active
At least 40 of 7.4K lifetime downloads are still running, below its category: the median AI plugin keeps 1.4%, across 1,009 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other AI plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 3 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

Not enough installs to measure. This needs at least 100 active sites; below that, a handful of downloads reads as tens of thousands.

Crossed into this band 4 days ago and a band this size takes about a year or more to cross, so the real count is still just over 40.

Asks for a RapidTextAI key after plugin installation. The RapidTextAI website offers two paid plans to get the “key”. There is a trial but the website doesn’t say how long it’s for. I find having to sign up to trial a plugin annoying. Overall to use tool ongoing there is only a paid version.
