Biggest opportunity: “weather” isn't earning a slot. You list it, but you're not in the first 24 results for that search. WordPress.org counts only your first five tags, so free the slot for a search you can win.

How it's measured →1.3%
of downloads still active
At least 100 of 7.6K lifetime downloads are still running, above its category: the median Uncategorized plugin keeps 0.6%, across 17,778 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Uncategorized plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
Removal-risk signals
53/100Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.
- Long abandoned. No update in 4+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
- Falling behind WordPress. Tested up to WordPress 6.1.16.

wp.org is where the directory puts the plugin for that search. On merit is where it would sit if results were ranked on rating, support and updates, without the install boost. The last column is how far the wp.org position moved, from our first reading in the last 90 days to the latest.
| Keyword | wp.org | On merit | wp.org move, 90 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| aviation weather | #1 | #1 | 0 |
| pireps your tag | #1 | #1 | 0 |
| aviation your tag | #3 | #2 | down 1 |
| metar your tag | #4 | #2 | 0 |
| noaa your tag | #6 | #4 | down 1 |
| weather your tag | Not in the top 24 | ||
8 searches this plugin appeared in over the last 90 days, 5 listed. 3 left out as unrelated or noise (years, numbers, stray words). 1 of its tags isn't in the top 24 for their own search.
What to do about it
- “weather” isn't earning a slot. You list it, but you're not in the first 24 results for that search. WordPress.org counts only your first five tags, so free the slot for a search you can win.
- Already on top for “aviation weather”. #1 without listing it. A tag would change little there; your slots are better spent on a search you don't yet win.

This plugin was wonderful but doesn’t work anymore with the current WordPress version. Would it be possible to update this software?

I really hope someone would have time to update this very good plugin. I have used it on my aviation website for years without a problem but now it just does not work anymore

I (and my client) love your plugin, thank you for it! However, I recently upgraded to the latest version and in doing so, it breaks the site. Deactivating the plugin fixes the site again. The site is also running W3 Total Cache, but none of it’s settings have changed between upgrading this plugin’s version. Please look into whatever you changed. Thanks so much!
