High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 13+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 3.4.2, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

I hope that later or sooner there will be a recognized parameter that enables everybody to understand the speed of the service they are contracting. The tool is fantastic

I love the idea of collecting and aggregating data from a larger network to return better results to each individual. Your other plugin Wordfence is a brilliant example of this, good work. Im interested to see where this could go, i dunno much about CDNs but maybe that could be food for thought.

Not everyone using this is tech savvy – can you give the rest of us a clue as to what the results mean? I really don’t care what a BogoWip is – I would like to know how many I should have. For some things “more is better” (cash, etc) for other things “less is more” (golf score, etc) Even something as simple as a smiley to give me a hint would be great. ☹

Works great. Simple to use. With a single click shows how my hosting providers of CPU, Network, and Database performance compares to the industry average. Adding this tool to my tool belt!

my host is compared to an average.. which is meaningless. I’m using shared hosting.. other might be on VPS or dedicated The data should be displayed alongside averages for each host in a league table, then at least hosts can be compared. I wouldn’t even mind paying a little for a ‘pro’ version for the data. Otherwise.. pointless – unless I have several hosts, and you test each one myself. Please put the data online.
