Biggest opportunity: Swap “ecommerce”, “payment gateway” and “woocommerce” for “pay by bank”, “africa” and “pay”. “ecommerce” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “pay by bank” sits at #11 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “payment gateway” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “africa” sits at #19 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “woocommerce” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “pay” sits at #23 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

How it's measured →3.7%
of downloads still active
At least 300 of 8.1K lifetime downloads are still running, above its category: the median eCommerce plugin keeps 1.4%, across 5,167 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other eCommerce plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 5 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- Swap “ecommerce”, “payment gateway” and “woocommerce” for “pay by bank”, “africa” and “pay”.
- One page off on “secure transactions”. #11 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.
- One page off on “south africa”. #16 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.

The Bob Pay plugin has been a fantastic addition to my website! It’s incredibly easy to use, both for me as a business owner and for my customers during checkout. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making the entire payment process smooth and straightforward. One of the standout features is the competitive rates. It’s refreshing to have a payment solution that doesn’t break the bank while still delivering top-notch functionality and reliability. I also appreciate how safe and secure the plugin is. It offers peace of mind for both my business and my customers, with secure account access and efficient transaction processing. The support team deserves a special mention too. They are always on hand to assist with any questions or issues and resolve them quickly and professionally. If you’re looking for an affordable, secure, and easy-to-use payment plugin, I highly recommend Bob Pay. It’s been a game-changer for my business!
