Removal-risk signals

53/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 5+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Falling behind WordPress. Tested up to WordPress 5.7.17.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

This plugin addresses a key concern with BuddyPress profiles for us. Christian has provided us excellent support and definitely cares about the reliability and functionality of his plugin. Highly recommended. Just take care to read Christian’s note about the plugin: “Note: because there is no way to hide XProfile fields, all field definitions are deleted when it is deactivated. The plugin tries to reconnect on reactivation, but always backup before deactivating.”

Great plugin. Does what it says, easy to use and fills a significant gap in WordPress/buddypress integration. Thanks!

BuddyPress and WordPress make it hard to enforce a real names policy. This makes it easier.

The plugin so far does what it says. However, editing the display name is not possible anymore. I would like users to edit first name, last name, _and_ display name and get the information synced with the wordpress profile. Would this be possible?
