Removal-risk signals
53/100Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.
- Long abandoned. No update in 6+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
- Falling behind WordPress. Tested up to WordPress 5.4.21.

Update activity
How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.
Release cadence
No release in a yearHow often this plugin actually ships. A steady rhythm is the maintenance signal a single "last updated" date can't show.

What its installed base runs
via wordpress.orgShare of active installs on each version of this plugin · 100% run the current release. Green is the current release; a big slice on older versions is a user base that has stopped updating.
Estimated active installs
The public count shows “600+”. Our estimate pins where the real number sits.

Estimated value
What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.
Est. annual revenue
Est. acquisition value
No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

I spent a few hours to figure this out: chap-secure-login breaks login to the wp admin panel.

This is a great concept, but is no longer supported. Check under Last Updated before installing to see how far out of date it is. For me, I couldn’t log in after the installation (the admin panel was inaccessible). This will disable your ability to log in with current versions of WordPress. If you install and get locked out, here is how I recovered my account. Log in with FTP and rename the CHAP folder (I added _BACKUP to the name). Then when you next log in, WordPress will disable the plug-in. Then you can log in and delete the plugin.

Works as advertised, never any major problems. Thanks!

This plugin locks certain users out, saying they have a wrong username and/or password. I have this problem when using firefox or IE, and combined with Wordfence plugin. After I deactivated this plugin, I had no problem to login again.

Well I can’t edit my review title but I spoke to hastily the plugin works fine. There seems to be an unrelated problem in my .htaccess.

The plugin keeps telling you that the password you’ve entered is invalid. You then have to go through your server’s backend to remove the plugin to be able to log back in. I had high hopes but the developer did not deliver… too bad.
