of downloads still active
At least 10 of 2.4K lifetime downloads are still running, below its category: the median Media plugin keeps 0.8%, across 2,323 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Media plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.

wp.org is where the directory puts the plugin for that search. On merit is where it would sit if results were ranked on rating, support and updates, without the install boost. The last column is how far the wp.org position moved, from our first reading in the last 90 days to the latest.
| Keyword | wp.org | On merit | wp.org move, 90 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| hang out your tag | #19 | #23 | down 5 |
| discord server members | #21 | #21 | 0 |
| discord your tag | Not in the top 24 | ||
| friends your tag | Not in the top 24 | ||
| talk your tag | Not in the top 24 | ||
| video chat your tag | Not in the top 24 | ||
5 searches this plugin appeared in over the last 90 days, 2 listed. 3 left out as unrelated or noise (years, numbers, stray words). 4 of its tags aren't in the top 24 for their own search.
What to do about it
- Slipping on “hang out”. Down 5 places since 2026-10-14, now #19. Check what shipped around then, and what moved above you.
- “discord”, “friends” and “talk” aren't earning a slot. You list them, but you're not in the first 24 results for those searches. WordPress.org counts only your first five tags, so free the slot for a search you can win.

Not enough installs to measure. This needs at least 100 active sites; below that, a handful of downloads reads as tens of thousands.

I was looking for a plugin that will be able to control access to my Discord community based on the enrollment (and un-enrollment) of LifterLMS courses. The installation is easy, and when I got in touch with the developer for some issues, I was able to work with the developers to come up with the solution. Good job 🙂 This topic was modified 2 years, 5 months ago by katso. Reason: Developers updated documentation
