Biggest opportunity: Swap “online payment” for “paypal payments”. “online payment” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “paypal payments” sits at #20 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

How it's measured →0.6%
of downloads still active
At least 500 of 80.9K lifetime downloads are still running, below its category: the median Payments plugin keeps 1.0%, across 1,042 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Payments plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 3 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- Swap “online payment” for “paypal payments”. “online payment” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “paypal payments” sits at #20 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.
- One page off on “contact form 7 paypal”. #11 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.

Update activity
How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

We have just starting using this plugin after numerous issues with another that was designed for syncing Contact 7 forms with PayPal (or stripe) and not working properly. This plugin does work, however our only concern is that as another reviewer commented that notifications are only sent on successful completion after returning from paypal, not right after submitting the form. This may result in not getting a copy of all completed forms if a customer doesnt finalise the payment process.

The notification email that is normally sent after submitting the form was not being sent. The customer support for this issue was top notch and timely. Turns out, this email is sent only after making a successful paypal payment – not right after submitting the form and before being taken to paypal.

Not usable.

No documentation on the plugin itself, the documentation for the “free” version seems to be a broken link. So you are left with absolutely no guide to help you actually use this plug-in. This topic was modified 5 years, 5 months ago by zavakz.
