Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

medium confidence

Est. annual revenue

≈$670 range $200–$2.3K

Est. acquisition value

≈$1.9K range $400–$9.2K

A small install base leaves thin data to model from. The range spans more than 10x because wp.org publishes install counts as broad bands, and conversion and price compound on top. Read the midpoint as an order of magnitude, not a valuation.

How we estimate this

Assumptions

  • Free → paid conversion. 0.5%–2% of active installs pay for the pro tier. Typical for freemium WordPress plugins; the real rate varies a lot by product.
  • Annual price per customer. $49–$129 a year, typical for WordPress plugins rather than this plugin's own pricing.
  • Acquisition multiple. 2x–4x annual revenue, the going range for small WordPress-plugin businesses, the typical range for a steady plugin.
  • Install base. 800–900 active installs, from our install estimate (wp.org only publishes the floor).

Revenue is installs × conversion × price; value is revenue × a typical acquisition multiple. Every factor is an assumption band, so the output is a wide range on purpose. If you're buying or selling, treat this as a starting point for due diligence.

The plugin is not working. I paid for the service, checked all the settings. After pressing the check button, the page is updated, but nothing changes, and the limits are not written off. This topic was modified 1 year, 5 months ago by Просування сайтів.

I’ve spent 15$ to get hundreds of matches for… cookie consent pop-up. What a BS.

I personally installed the plugin in my site to detect plagiarised content that i did not notice before. and well just for 10$ I got almost unlimited credits to check for it on product and posts pages. The tool is perfect detecting spam. The only thing is that it also autodectects the same website content as duplicate. And also after saving Twice, The plugin conflicts a little with wpml plugin and changes the language of the post which damages the page. Though i need the plugin and still works. I hope others check this great tool to fight the latest google spam updates more easily. and I hope the author can do a great update for this great plugin!!!!

You need to register and pay for the API, no complain, this is clearly said before even installing, so all good here (user complaining on that is unfair) The plugin is very easy to install and use Admin and user setting are very good Many options to check plagia when user want … but it is pushing to sell more 😉 … and that can cost very quicly several dollars per articles if you don’t pay (pun intended) attention So please, copyscape team: – optional: by defaut, deactivate all automatic checks. Users may select them back – nice to have: do indicate the remaining credit on the account in the post edit page – a must: do indicate how much credits it will cost to check, BEFORE CHECKING

This plugin is a worthless. There is nothing free, not even one trial search. When you go to there website they sell credits, but they don’t tell you what the credits are worth or how many searches you get. These people are not transparent and only want your money without even telling you what they will give you for it. They should be banned from being on wordpress.

when i click copyscape check on post page, it shows “Copyscape was not able to check your post – you have no search credits remaining.”, so i must pay this plugin if i want to use it. Not much like this. I thought it’s free.

If you concerned about duplicate content and Google rankings then you need some type of plagiarism checking software. I found CopyScape to be highly recommended, inexpensive, easy to use and multiple capabilities. I had a little trouble with the API, but I realized I was capitalizing the first letter on my user name. (Don’t capitalize the first letter of your user name.) Once I figured that out it works great! The WordPress detail page states CopyScape has not been tested with the latest version of WordPress(3.9.1), but I’m not having any problems.
