High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 12+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 3.7.41, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Most reviewers say setup is simple and it does the job, while others hit limits: it doesn't cover WooCommerce registration, and one recent user says the confirmation email isn't going out at all.

This looked like exactly what I needed but after installing and testing it I’ve found it doesn’t work with registration via WooCommerce, only through the default WordPress login/registration. This makes it rather pointless because the standard WordPress registration already sends a password to the user’s email address, meaning with this plugin installed a new user has to check their email twice in order to create and log in to a new account. When registering through WooCommerce forms (which REALLY needs email confirmation) this plugin simply does nothing. I see it’s been a year since an update so it would be nice if the developer could breathe new life into this as the simplicity and functionality of this plugin would be excellent if it only worked where it was useful.

Easy to setup! Here are some improvements: 1. allow (custom) shortcodes in email templates. because i already have some for email header and footer. 2. don’t wrap email template content in

. developer need their freedom 😉 3. support for a custom password. The user should have the option to define his password while registration. thank you!

I have mandatory registration and like others I am plagued with spammer attempts to register. Many have Yahoo and Hotmail accounts, as to some of my subscribers, so I couldn’t block these. Installed it, and for the last two days it has been bliss. Since installation I have done some small alterations to the narrative, putting my own jaundiced comments. Here is a link to one screen shot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2xrvxf7a3pks3dx/Register_DM.png Thank you for a great program! I installed the plugin and I have to say it works absolutly fine! The configuration is very simple and you’re able to give the newly registered user some information in a welcome mail. Thanks for developing!

Works reliably for us even with a few other login plugins. Good to see a nice atomic plugin that does what it says on the tin.
