High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 8+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 3.4.2, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Most reviewers call it a simple time saver that does exactly what it promises, though a few report it breaking on newer WordPress versions, slowing a site down, and one case where adding a duplicate wiped out a pile of widgets.

It took me a bit of time before I ask myself, did someone create a plugin for that? Thank god you did it. thanks a lot. It works with wordpress 4.0 but just by safety it would be nice if you could update it. Cheers Ps: WordPress should incluse this by default.

Not only does this plugin no longer work in current WP versions, the author’s site, coffee2code.com, has been down for the past 5 months.

I’ve been using this plugin for a while now on some client sites and finally installed it on my own site. The width of the dropdown menu needs to be constrained, but it works and does exactly what it says it does.

Thanks for the great pluggin. I’m using this for a multi-lingual site 6 languages and with the widget logic plugin works great and saves lots of time having to only update one instance of a widget. Highly recommended.

It’s simple and does the job. I’ve used it on a few sites to quickly create duplicates of existing widgets.

This plugin deleted 100+ widgets from a site once I added a duplicate widget. Be very careful with this plugin, and take backups beforehand.
