High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 11+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 4.1.42, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

At first I thought this was great, until I realized that it was not accurate at all. The first post I put up while using it got over 2,300 hits in one day! Great! Except that WordPress said I only had 253 hits on my blog that day. So that night I wrote a new post and back dated it to just before the first one went up. I immediately looked at the post counter and it said that new post which had only been up a few seconds had 43 hits. I’d love to think all this was true. But it isn’t. I’m taking this counter down. It makes me feel good, but that’s not the point.

All I wanted was a simple counter that tells me how many clicks/views a post gets and this does it.

Exactly what I was looking for. A simple way of knowing how many hits each post gets. No code or files to edit. Thanks!
