How it's measured →3.4%
of downloads still active
At least 2K of 58.6K lifetime downloads are still running, above its category: the median Uncategorized plugin keeps 0.6%, across 17,772 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Uncategorized plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 4 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- Your five tags are all earning their place. Each gets you onto page 1 of its own search, so none is worth giving up. “visualisation”, “model viewer” and “office” (#4, #5 and #6 untagged) would be the next worth testing if a slot frees up.

Update activity
How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Reviewer account pattern
from wp.org reviewer profiles17 of the last 27 four- and five-star reviews came from accounts created within a month of posting the review.
Registering a wp.org account just to leave a review is common and often entirely legitimate. The share here is unusually high for the sample, so it's worth keeping in mind while reading the reviews.

Beware, this pluging uses a very common marketing methode for WordPress plugins. The paiid version loses all the Premium feature at the moment you are not having an active subscription. I.e, you are not just stopped from receiving updates, you just thrown back to the basic version. Additionally, there are many non constant display issues related to scrolling the document inside the infrare, tool bar changes it’s look spontaneously, and there is no document preview ahown on mobile, but just a button to open the file in new window.

I am a theatre director and I use my website to communicate with my performers and technical crews. I wanted to SHOW them documents in situ as well as enable them to easily download them and, after looking at other solutions, this plugin is PERFECT for this. I am delighted with it and cannot recommend it highly enough.

I needed to be able to embed externally hosted PDF documents into my wordpress posts and pages while preserving the embedded clickable links in those documents. This plugin does what I need, including offering viewers the ability to download the document. five stars
