I was looking for just this type of plugin and as always trying out the free version to see it’s capabilities and lord behold it doesn’t allow you to do what is considered a basic free part of any plugin and that create categories, you have to purchase the Pro (what blollox). Well as much as I enjoyed your screenschoots and it’s exactly what I was looking for I refuse to support tight-ass plugins who can’t see it fit to provide the simple basic features for free. You loss m8.

Ich habe die kostenpflichtige Pro-Version getestet und musste feststellen, dass das Plugin in Kombination mit dem populären The7-Theme schlichtweg unbrauchbar ist. Der A–Z-Index überlagert wichtige Inhalte, lässt sich nicht korrekt positionieren und macht Teile der Seite nicht anklickbar. Laut Pluginbeschreibung soll es Theme-kompatibel sein – die Realität sieht leider anders aus. Besonders enttäuschend ist jedoch die Supportpolitik:– Man muss auf sein Widerrufsrecht verzichten, um überhaupt ein Ticket zu eröffnen.– Es wird mit einer pauschalen Strafgebühr von 49 € für angeblich „falsche Angaben“ gedroht.– Ein öffentlicher Fehler muss durch ein „Testsystem mit Adminzugang“ reproduziert werden – völlig überzogen. Aus Sicht des Verbraucherschutzes ist das rechtlich äußerst fragwürdig und schlicht unseriös. Ich habe mehrfach versucht, das Plugin zum Laufen zu bringen – ohne Erfolg. Der Support war bisher weder hilfreich noch kulant. Ich fordere daher eine Rückerstattung und rate aktuell vom Kauf ab. Fazit: Technisch inkompatibel mit The7, keinerlei hilfreiche Dokumentation zur Problemlösung, und Support unter zweifelhaften Bedingungen. Ich kann vom Kauf nur abraten.

Das Encyclopedia Plugin nutzen wir seit über 10 Jahren in der Pro Version. In dieser Zeit hat sich bei WordPress extrem viel getan, dieses Plugin ist ein mächtiges Werkzeug und der Entwickler Dennis Hoppe leistet hier wirklich einen erstklassigen Support. WordPress Plugins sind leider ein Stück Software das nicht so sauber gekapselt ist wie andere Konzepte, so dass Seiteneffekte leider nicht ausgeschlossen sind. Unsere Erfahrung ist, dass wenn bei diesem Plugin mal ein Fehler auftritt, der Entwickler diesen nicht nur umgehend beseitigt, sondern auch persönlich zeitnah reagiert.

Nach einem der letzten Updates wurde die Light-Version offenbar um etliche vorher zugängliche Einstellmöglichkeiten beraubt! 😮 Ohne jede Vorwarnung. Ich finde das Euren langjährigen Alt-Kunden gegenüber — die auch durch ihre kostenlose Nutzung für Eure Entwicklung vorteilhaft (gewesen) sein dürften — extrem unfair. . Ich bin schwer enttäuscht und werde das Plugin nicht mehr weiter empfehlen. . Zusätzlich war auf unserer Webseite eine Zeit lang keine Änderung von Posts und Pages möglich. Fehlermeldung beim Versuch Änderungen zu speichern muss in etwa gewesen sein: “Aktualisierung fehlgeschlagen. Die Antwort ist keine gültige JSON-Antwort.” (nach Deaktivierung des Plugins Encyclopedia light war der Fehler sofort verschwunden, bei erneuter Aktivierung ist er jetzt verschwunden) . Als Zugabe-Bonus gab es dann eine endlose Liste ungültiger interner Links, da die Einstellungen “Übersichtsseiten-URL-Slug” und “Element URL-Slug” auf den Standardwert “enzyklopaedie” zurückgesetzt wurde, der jetzt in der Light-Version NICHT MEHR ZU ÄNDERN IST! 😢😨😱 . So etwas möchte kein Website-Betreibender nach einem Plugin-Update sehen.😫 This topic was modified 3 years, 9 months ago by Jens. Reason: typo correction;
