High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 10+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 4.4.34, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

… that is actually the opposite of “very limited”. I’m so impressed by the function of the plugin and the great support of the author, that it was a great pleasure for me to make a donation.

This saved me a lot of trouble. I already use CF7 so this was a natural solution when I needed fields in confirmation emails to populate a custom post.

This was exactly what I was looking for, it saved me a ton of custom coding. The integration with wp_insert_post() makes it really easy to use. I was afraid it wouldn’t support custom post types since there’s no mention of it in the documentation, but it was as simple as creating a field called post_type, setting the default (with CF7) to the post type slug, and hiding the field via inline styles. I was also concerned that captchas wouldn’t work since there’s a strange spam warning in the description, but it worked fine with reCAPTCHA.

This plugin saved me hours of work. Still getting the hang of it, but it should do exactly what I’m looking for. I just wish the documentation was a bit more complete.

I tried all of the other plugins that are supposed to do this(which is actually very few). This one is by far the best.
