Biggest opportunity: Swap “filter”, “woocommerce search” and “search” for “job search”, “search filters” and “search results”. “filter” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “job search” sits at #6 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “woocommerce search” isn't earning its slot: it only gets you to #19. “search filters” sits at #13 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “search” isn't earning its slot: it only gets you to #16. “search results” sits at #15 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

How it's measured →2.7%
of downloads still active
At least 5K of 184.2K lifetime downloads are still running, above its category: the median Search plugin keeps 0.7%, across 645 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Search plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 6 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- Swap “filter”, “woocommerce search” and “search” for “job search”, “search filters” and “search results”.
- One page off on “ajax search”. #13 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.
- One page off on “product search”. #13 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.
- One page off on “search”. #16 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.

Update activity
How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated active installs
The public count shows “5K+”. Our estimate pins where the real number sits.
Crossed into this band 19 days ago and a band this size takes about a year or more to cross, so the real count is still just over 5K.

I changed my domain which is nothing new. I removed, cleared cache, and reinstalled it. Yet my old domain is stuck and this means some content is not showing. This topic was modified 2 years, 4 months ago by Wayne.

I often refer others to my blog about remodeling to a LEED Platinum standard or about my RV updates. The new search plugin makes this an easy task. The results are highly relevant and it’s easy to get back to the list of results with just a back page. A huge upgrade to my site.

The plugin and its related service is just marvellous; support is really helpful and responsive. The overall UI/UX can be improved with a bit more options, for example the ability to select more search and display views.

Both the search functionality and plugin support are excellent. Only limitation is in terms of design of the light box (popup) showing the results and filters. But then, that ensures the ease of integration…
