   With recent changes to WordPress, Localendar is showing more and more issues… attempts to resolve those issues with “support” resulted in a dead end (no response). Years ago it seemed like a great solution — WordPress has progressed while Localendar has not.

   Some people are knocking this plugin because it requires you to set up an account at localendar.com. I am a long-time webmaster who has many sites moving to WordPress. Rather than migrate all of the existing content to a WP-specific plugin, this plugin lets me use all of their existing calendars. Plus, localendar has a ton of features most of these johhny-come-latelys just don’t have

   Why does this plugin have a conditional to load jQuery 1.4 if jQuery is undefined? Also why does this plugin load 2 js files from your website instead of including these files inside the plugin itself… Which one of these JS files also loads 8 other JS files from your website. This is bad practice.

   I was trying to find a good plug in to use with my Google calendar. This is not it. I’m not even sure it is a real plug in since you have to host your calendar on a separate site, then embed their code onto your page, after you pay your subscription.

   I selected the Premium version and it does everything I need it to do. I paid over $60 for another plugin and it would cut off the title and not display the time. I needed to publish repeating events and some specialized – 2nd Friday, last Saturday, repeating – that I could not get other plugins to do. I had some problems with the month not displaying but once I changed the style to the default style, I was able to view the month. If you can figure out the CSS, I’m sure that could be rectified too. For the cost, it does what I need it to do. It’s not that the month wasn’t displaying, the problem lies in the fact that the font was white and so was the background of the section. http://www.rainbowtemple.com
