Biggest opportunity: Add “nextgen gallery addons” to your wp.org tags. You rank #15 for it without listing it, close enough for a declared tag to move you up. WordPress.org counts only your first five tags, so with 4 listed it's a slot worth spending.

How it's measured →0.2%
of downloads still active
At least 10 of 5.7K lifetime downloads are still running, below its category: the median Media plugin keeps 0.8%, across 2,320 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Media plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
High removal-risk signals
63/100Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.
- Long abandoned. No update in 14+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
- Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 3.4.2, well behind 6.8.

wp.org is where the directory puts the plugin for that search. On merit is where it would sit if results were ranked on rating, support and updates, without the install boost. The last column is how far the wp.org position moved, from our first reading in the last 90 days to the latest.

What to do about it
- Add “nextgen gallery addons” to your wp.org tags. You rank #15 for it without listing it, close enough for a declared tag to move you up. WordPress.org counts only your first five tags, so with 4 listed it's a slot worth spending.
- One page off on “nextgen gallery addon”. #15 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.

Not enough installs to measure. This needs at least 100 active sites; below that, a handful of downloads reads as tens of thousands.

The public count shows “10+”. Our estimate pins where the real number sits.
Crossed into this band 3 months ago and the previous band took 15 months to cross, so the real count is still just under 20.

Needs to be updated. It killed my theme after BuddyPress 1.7 came out. Removed plugin and I got my theme back. I think it is the javascript.

I know it’s free but it doesn’t offer any customization. Deactivated it.
