High removal-risk signals

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 12+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 3.7.41, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from. The recent download trend is too spiky to read.

Tested with WordPress 4.5 today. It still technically “works” – however… 1) You have to make sure that after setting up your shared album with a website, that it completes building the website before attempting to create a photo stream. 2) Let’s say your album on iCloud is called “Recent Photos” – instead of creating “1” album, it creates an album for each separate DAY that contains photos. So if you took 3 photos on Aug 1st, and 10 on August 2nd, then you’ll get 2 albums, the first with 3 photos, the second with 10 photos. While point (2) may seem annoying, for instance you can just copy the text from one album and paste it into the next one and end up with a single album… I also ran into this issue… 3) After adding new photos to your shared album, the plugin doesn’t seem to recognize that there are new photos. You can click “Import” as many times as you like, it will only seem to recognize the photos that were present the first time you try and sync the album. Not sure if anyone else ran into these issues, but while I’d love it if this plugin actually worked for me, it doesn’t appear that it’s going to.

Are you going to update this app to support the current apple photos? I tried to enter a shared album url in your plugin and it was not recognized. Would love to use this, would even pay for it, but it seems like something you put out and forgot.

Great idea, great plugin! I got it to transfer photos. I research and work from my iPad, so now transferring photos is a breeze. No glitches – worked smoothly and fast. Set up directions for iOS device are and process are primo. Very good set of parameters for gallery post – that are optional. I got an excellent gallery post as a result. My first gallery. Thank you for a great plugin.

This is a fantastic plugin. Easy to use and straight forward. There are a lot of small features they could add in the future, but for now, being able to share a photo to a photo stream and have it appear on my website, that’s pretty awesome! As of the time I write this, the only feature I would like to see added is auto-resizing of images so that they are not too big for websites.

Setup was straight-forward and easy. Photos from my iPhone show up in my wp-admin. Exactly what I was looking for – a simple way to post new photos to my site! Just share the photo to the new Photostream, and boom!
