High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 12+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 3.9.40, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Works nicely but no update for 10 monthes. So only 4 stars. Much more “intelligent” compared to classical “anti brute force attack” plugins.

I installed this last night and since then not a single one dubious login attempt. I was getting three or four an hour.

I couldn’t log out. I tried deleting my cookies and then I couldn’t log in. It’s too bad I was looking forward to a simple solution. Maybe I’ll try again later.

This plugin is a great solution to what continues to be an increasingly irritating issue for webmasters and server admins. I’m installing this plugin on all of the WordPress sites I manage. Thanks for your great work.

This security plugin blocks around 99.9% of brute force attacks for me. Just yesterday alone we counted that it blocked 5683 attempts on one of our servers that day.
