Removal-risk signals

53/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 5+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Falling behind WordPress. Tested up to WordPress 5.6.19.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

For anyone even just considering the installation of this plugin, please note that using this plugin’s documentation link: Access Plugin Documentation on http://freewptp.com/plugins/publish-date-datepicker/ Is redirected to a “casino” webpage (http://206.189.151.151/). I don’t see how anyone could trust the creator of this plugin. Reportedly completed fixes were not made (see below). At minimum, the creator’s website has been hacked, or worse. My advise would be to use it at your own peril. I, with great haste, unintalled it. ———————————- My initial review was for 2 stars and was titled “Error was claimed to be fixed but was not.” Clicking the “now” option does not reset time to the current (valid) one. As a result, when updating a page, instead of right now your page won’t be published until that future point in time (later in the day). This error was reported over 4 years ago and at that time the plugin author claimed that this error was fixed. It wasn’t. It still occurs here in the year 2021. The “now” button is a great feature, if only it worked. — This error still exists, but pales compared to the newer issue I mention. This topic was modified 5 years, 5 months ago by broadway12345.
