High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 9+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 4.7.35, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

I give this two stars because this plugin was once great and now it doesn’t look like there are any updates coming. As a matter of fact, it has been years since someone even commented on this plugin. Unfortunately, all of my Smugmug sliders no longer work after updating and I’m left to rebuild. Frustrating.

I went to install plugin and got message that it must be verified before use and click this link to get started. It tries to open the location inside Settings and I get a 404 code. I suspect it has to do with the WP version mismatch.

After discovering that SmugMug embed is done using Flash (which means that no one going to my site on an iPhone or iPad could see any of my slideshows), I started searching for another option and found this plugin. It works beautifully and simply, I LOVE it. What I love – I don’t have to go in and pull out the album id and key every time, they’re all there for me to choose. I love how it’s integrated with the add media function. I love the simple slideshow, and although it would be nice to have the captions displayed, it doesn’t really matter because when I click on an image (using Lightbox), it goes directly to the SmugMug gallery, exactly where I want it to go. This way if someone is inclined to purchase a print, they can easily do it from there without me sending them directly to a BUY page. Thank you for developing this plugin, you’ve saved my day.

I have been looking all over the Internet for months to figure out how to make my Smugmug galleries be a slider with out a lightbox on my self hosted WordPress site while making the images link to the shopping cart. This plugin does exactly that, I now have a lot of galleries featured on my website where the photos are hosted at Smugmug and people can buy the photos just by clicking on them. Thank you so much Michael for making this! Here is my site if you anyone wants to see how I used it. I did get into the plugin’s CSS and customize to my preferences a bit: http://art.matthewtrader.com

I love this plugin! — Thanks to you (and your client) for sharing it with the WordPress community. I can’t believe you have only gotten a couple of ratings! — Should be many more… Again MANY thanks!
