High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 7+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 4.8.30, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Tried with salient theme based website and it didn’t work. Tried using through class as well as ID but no change. There is no effect of this plugin on my pages.

I installed this a while ago, possibly even before WordPress v4.0. It worked great, did exactly what I needed it to do, but it has caused an unfortunate bug. Every time I changed the size of my browser, my whole site would refresh. When I first installed a theme I assumed the refresh was part of the theme. Hopefully it will get fixed, but as of writing this is has been 7 months since the last update and it seems doubtful.

I tried Q2W3 Fixed Widget, Sticky Menu (or Anything!) on Scroll, and myStickymenu but this plugin seemed to work well. Works right out of the box and seems less bloaty and glitchy than the other three. I am using it for a sticky widget sidebar. Was using Q2W3 for many years, however, with my new website it was conflicting with way too many plugins and it hasn’t been updated by plugin author for almost a year.

Great plugin — it just works out of the box. I’m using this plugin to make a sidebar widget sticky.

Very simple and easy plugin. Stew (the author) provides tremendous support. One note that I missed in the install, you must enter an element that pushes the sticky upward for it to work correctly.
