High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 7+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 5.0.27, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

It does add the page template dropdown for your custom post types, and selecting it will change the template accordingly. However, if you leave the selection as default, the template will default to index.php instead of single-customposttype.php, so you are now forced to select a template for all your custom post types.

This was just the plugin I needed to allow me to offer multiple post layouts for a single site. I was not able to find anything else quite like it.

Perhaps i added the comment to the wrong file? I added it to single.php since i wanted to use this with Pages, not Posts. Is that possible? If you solve this, i will adjust my rating. Thanks! This topic was modified 9 years, 3 months ago by braed.
