This solution is brilliant. Sometimes, when you update too many things at once, it runs into a “communication failure” and the updated website hangs in maintainance mode. A manual fix from the dashboard in the hung site is necessary. Nothing broken though.

There seems to be a problem, maybe having to do with self-signed certificates. I understand the value of using a cert authority, but my hosting provider charges serious money for certs (I also understand I need a host that supports Let’s Encrypt!) and the sites I’m running aren’t revenue sources. Sometimes updates, for example, would work. Or, I would set up a site, and it would be OK through the dashboard, but the next day it would just return errors. Sometimes I could see Advanced Tools, sometimes an error message. And this is for sites all running on the same host. More than that, it’s just a guess what the problem is. The logging is completely unhelpful. It gives no information about errors — it doesn’t report errors at all, only successes. Disabling for now… ——- Revisiting this plugin, I installed “Let’s Encrypt” certs on the sites I manage. It works fine on most of them now. The only exception is a blog that’s running on Site5 — there might be a firewall or something in between. But for the rest of them it’s proving to be really helpful. Having over 20 WP sites to manage, this plugin saves me a great deal of time – enabling me to get on with other development work. Without it I’d have to login to each site, determine what needs to be updated etc., do the updates and log out. With UpdraftCentral Dashboard it takes a fraction of the time – brilliant. Prior to using this plugin I used other similar solutions, but none were as fully featured or reliable as this. Keep up the great work.

I thought this would be a central dashboard that would let me see things like the last time each Updraft Plus installation ran a backup, whether there were any errors, how many backups are stored in each, and let me configure each installation from a central dashboard. It’s not. Updraft Central only lists the websites where Updraft Plus is installed, and provides links back to those websites for configuring each. There are no stats on which ones ran and which ones didn’t. I have to visit each installation for that. I set this plugin up and connected it to a handful of websites before the end of the year. I had some difficulty getting it to connect to a couple of websites, but ultimately got the connection to work. After the end of the year holidays, I revisited the Updraft Central dashboard and found that none of the sites would connect to the Updraft Central dashboard. I got errors trying to access the dashboard of each website. I don’t want to troubleshoot the dashboard installation every time I use it. That wastes more time than having it, saves.
