Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Several things about this plugin: 1) It just works the way it’s supposed to. 2) It doesn’t have any B.S. bloatware, ads, popups etc. 3) What it does have, that I haven’t seen before, is a string change in the plugins.php that creates a link “Need help?” link to an external link. Couple things about that: It’s extremely non-obtrusive, and not-annoying. In fact, it’s right where it’s supposed to be. If you’re looking at that line in the screen, you probably need help with that plugin. It’s real estate the plugin owns. HOWEVER, the user has to see it every time they look at plugins.php. That’s a great idea from a plugin developer pov. It’s unobtrusive, and you HAVE to see it all the time. Anyway, I’m stealing that idea. Oh, the plugin is great too! 🙂
