Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

medium confidence

Est. annual revenue

≈$310 range $79–$1.2K

Est. acquisition value

≈$870 range $160–$4.8K

A small install base leaves thin data to model from. The range spans more than 10x because wp.org publishes install counts as broad bands, and conversion and price compound on top. Read the midpoint as an order of magnitude, not a valuation.

How we estimate this

Assumptions

  • Free → paid conversion. 0.5%–2% of active installs pay for the pro tier. Typical for freemium WordPress plugins; the real rate varies a lot by product.
  • Annual price per customer. $79–$199 a year, typical for eCommerce plugins rather than this plugin's own pricing.
  • Acquisition multiple. 2x–4x annual revenue, the going range for small WordPress-plugin businesses, the typical range for a steady plugin.
  • Install base. 200–300 active installs, from our install estimate (wp.org only publishes the floor).

Revenue is installs × conversion × price; value is revenue × a typical acquisition multiple. Every factor is an assumption band, so the output is a wide range on purpose. If you're buying or selling, treat this as a starting point for due diligence.

In APP , the plugin is aesthetically beautiful, the support is incredible, beyond its own responsibility, all the problems created were resolved practically immediately, I am very happy.

We used this plugin for our products for several years. It worked well for a while. After some time, it no longer worked to add products to the shopping cart. The button kept loading and loading and loading … customer service couldn’t solve the problem, but we managed to get the button to work with our hoster, at least temporarily. Recently, the configurator simply hangs during the design process, so that no configuration is possible for my customers. Orders have almost stopped coming in for weeks, or even months.Customer service keeps blaming the problem on us, our website, other plugins, the server … But the problem is simply not being addressed – or cannot be solved. There are also some errors in the conditional logic rules that make some settings impossible for me.In the meantime, customer service has completely given up and is not working on my problem; I didn’t even get an answer when I asked how they would solve the problem.I am very dissatisfied with this configurator plugin and have now switched to another one. With this one, you don’t pay a fixed amount, but a fee per order. That’s fine with me, even if it might end up being more expensive, as the configurator runs much more smoothly and the settings are much simpler.

Overall the plugin does the job. On the other hand, be careful when many display rules are configured; the page tends to take a long time to load; the same with the images which are all downloaded when the page loads. I encountered 2 problems recently but my support requests here on the directory and via the form on the developer’s official website went unanswered. I don’t know if there is any support yet.

We are very impressed with Visual Builder. It is a very powerful tool to configure products on a website. Also, when we’ve had a question, the service has been quick and helpful.

While not an easy product to ‘get your heard around’, once you follow the instructions, it is a brilliant product builder tool. Personally, I have found the support team to be outstanding.

    I have used this plugin for a few years, and it has gone from bad to worse. 1. On the eve of my product launch and while QA testing I learned the “add to cart” button did not work. 2. I am unable to change the button text without installing another plugin. 3. The collapsible menu is glitchy, you should be using CSS animations for smooth transitions. Also, the support link you provided does work with my account login. Here is a quick fix for the button change text issue, use CSS. a.vpc-configure-button.button { content: ‘new button text’; }
