   Disappointed with the support team’s handling of their recent security compromise. The official ShapedPlugin documentation explicitly warns users that updating the plugin will NOT clean up backdoors left by the compromised version (3.5.2) and that the full 13-step security checklist must be followed. However, when opening a ticket to get the assistance promised in the advisory, the support agent, who was evidently copying and pasting replies as they couldnt even get my name correct – gave me a generic brush-off, stating that because I updated, my site was “fully secure now.” This completely contradicts their own incident response protocol and puts user sites at risk. Bad technical communication during a critical security event. They also didn’t inform their customers of a severe breach until 2nd July – when they were notified on 11th June, as well as 15th June by Wordfence. Lost all confidence in ShapedPlugin LLC.
