I also updated the last wp-igniter.php from GitHub, that of November 6, 2017. Both (old and new one) throw the Fatal errors. Would you please update the plugin? Integrates the powers of CodeIgniter with WordPress. If you face troubles with it, try to tick “CodeIgniter grabs all SEO urls (use with caution!!)” the caution remark could scare you away, but it is what actually makes it work!!!

Saved me tons of effort. What I like best is that not only can you access CI from WordPress, but inside CI you also have access to all the WordPress APIs. A simple and really easy way to integrate Codeigniter into WordPress so that you get all the benefits from both platforms. One small thing that will help you, add include_once(ABSPATH . ‘wp-includes/pluggable.php’); after if(!is_admin) which will stop you being logged out when you go to the front end This plugin lets you access all the WordPress functions, actions and filters in you ci app. You can use both $db and $wpdb – great if you want to use different databases. Gives you full access to CI helpers and libraries, great for custom form building with all the validation that ci offers. See the Github repo for more comments and work throughs. I’m not associated with this plugin ( see my profile for my plugins ) but would recommend it to all you CI fans ( and of course now that CI has a new home we all have hope !!! )
