Removal-risk signals

53/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 5+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Falling behind WordPress. Tested up to WordPress 5.5.20.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

I don’t want users to set password from email when register which seems like it would be simple but was not! Other plugins and code snippets i tried only gave me problems, this plugin made it easy to register with password and I could add first and last name fields! thank you!

I tried quite a few other plugins to get the user to be redirected properly after logging in (I did not want admins to get redirected to their profile; I want them to get redirected to front page of site). All of the other plugins were broken with the latest WordPress version except for this one. Yay!

I was looking for a plugin to setup redirects for users when logging in and came across this plugin, which it works great for. I was surprised with all the other features and am very happy with how well it works! I do not like the wp-login.php links in emails and this helps to change those and I didn’t even expect to find this when I was looking. great job thank you!

I run a network install of wordpress. For whatever reason the “lost your password” link on all sites pointed to the default site’s pwd recovery form. This plugin fixed the problem. I just enabled the custom “forgotten password” link on all sites (other than the default site) and actually forced it to the default URL for that site (/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword). It works. installed it. Logged out, now I get error when trying to login ERROR: Your account is still pending activation, please check your email, or you can request a password reset for a new activation code. Then try to do what it said by getting a new password.. ERROR! The e-mail could not be sent. Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function. ( my mail was working FINE before this plugin.) Locked me out of my own site!
