Removal-risk signals
45/100Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.
- Long abandoned. No update in 3+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.

Update activity
How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.
Release cadence
No release in a yearHow often this plugin actually ships. A steady rhythm is the maintenance signal a single "last updated" date can't show.

What its installed base runs
via wordpress.orgShare of active installs on each version of this plugin · 96% run the current release. Green is the current release; a big slice on older versions is a user base that has stopped updating.
Estimated active installs
The public count shows “500+”. Our estimate pins where the real number sits.
Refined from the date this plugin crossed into its current band.

Estimated value
What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.
Est. annual revenue
Est. acquisition value
No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Great plugin, great support! Filter wpdirauth_filterquery can be updated for advanced config; Just one file => really nice from a security point of view (no hidden sub-plugin or any custom library)

We´re runnig wp in a multi site environment for academic purposes. wpDirAuth is easy to use and helps us to let site administrators easyly integrate users without establishing additional passwords. Thats comfortable for the users and helps us to raise acceptance of the blog system. And, last but not least, the plugin developers are very keen to help in cases of technical issuses. That´s for me as multi service provider veeeerrry helpful. So five stars!

I had some trouble, as a newcomer to both php and WordPress, getting the plugin to work, so I posted a support question. I received a response quickly, and got some great advice on troubleshooting. Once I was able to post more details from my troubleshooting issues, the developer quickly fixed a bug and after an update I was able to get the plugin working smoothly.

I had tried several other LDAP solutions and none worked. This worked OTB. I also found the answer to my question regarding how to support several hundred existing accounts created using an LDAP plugin we had tried that didn’t work very well. So, thank you for that. I would think that supporting multiple Base DNs would be useful. We have a situation where there are 2 large user groups in separate container whose shared base encompasses practically the entire AD tree, so being able to specify 2 sub base DNs would be much more efficient than having to query the top level base.

Works with multisite, SSL/TLS actually works, and it allows easy customization of the login box to match corporate standards.
