Biggest opportunity: “fomo”, “fomo notification” and “notifier” aren't earning a slot. You list them, but you're not in the first 24 results for those searches. WordPress.org counts only your first five tags, so free the slot for a search you can win.

2.4%

of downloads still active

At least 500 of 20.7K lifetime downloads are still running, above its category: the median Uncategorized plugin keeps 0.6%, across 17,773 plugins.

Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Uncategorized plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.

High removal-risk signals

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 7+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 5.1.28, well behind 6.8.

I’m using WP FOMO on a couple of websites now, and I really cannot see how they insist that Notification X is a better plugin. On WP FOMO you just input your field items, publish, and away it goes! On Notification X you need to jump through a few hoops, there are no options to add your own field items, and on publishing – it MIGHT show your item, but it probably won’t. If someone could explain why Notification X is better, please send a postcard.

This is a cool and amazing plugin. However, I notice it usage cannot be limited to a page or post. Is there a way to make it appear on a selected post or page on a wordpress blog or site?

Great plugin. Minimal, simple and effective. But can you please make that you can add more than just 11 fomo slides! Thank You!

  • ! Has a FAQ Only 1 question in the FAQ; 3 or more gives an assistant something to match.
  • ! FAQ asks real questions 0 of 1 FAQ entries are headings, not questions ("undefined").
  • ! Names who it is for One audience phrase ("use this"); say who the plugin is for and what they use it for.
  • ✓ Names what it works with Mentions Elementor, Facebook, Twitter.
  • ! Headings and lists 1 heading and 2 lists; assistants quote headed sections and bullet lists, not paragraphs.
  • ! Enough to quote 850 characters of description; under 1,000 there is little to quote.
  • ✓ Tags match the text 2 of 3 tags appear in the text; "notifier" does not.
