How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A declining trend compresses what a buyer would pay.

Reviewers keep praising how the scan links each issue to the exact spot and explains how to fix it, with the documentation and support singled out, though one person is unhappy about features moving behind the paid version.

I did not choose to install this plugin on my WordPress site—it appeared one day without my consent. While it was functional, it provided some value, but now it’s heavily restricted unless I upgrade to the paid version. I dislike the bait-and-switch approach: offering a free version only to limit its functionality later unless you pay for the premium version. p.s.I’m confident there are—or eventually will be—other plugins that offer the same features for free.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Accessibility Checker by Equalize Digital. If you want to build accessible websites and not want to have to use an external tool to switch back and forth between reports and content editing, this is the right plugin for you. Each issue from a scan links directly to the issue on the front-end and provides guidance on how to review and resolve the issue. I upgraded to the Pro version as well to take advantage of ongoing accessibility checks. The plugin has been built in a thoughtful way and provides excellent resources for each issue on why it is flagged and how to resolve them. I highly recommend it over any accessibility overlay tool.

What I love about Accessibility Checker is that it is so comprehensive and so efficient to use. I love that all the editors on a site can spot check their posts quickly and easily for errors. The detailed references for why something doesn’t pass are super helpful. This is by far the best accessibility plugin available. The team is highly committed to constant improvement and WordPress community support. This is truly a passion project with a deep commitment to accessibility. I am also a pro user, and I love the pro tools with the issues lists I can quickly reference and address across the site and keep an audit trail.

Accessibility is such an important right in the world. Even more so in the digital world. This plugin itself easily points out errors on your site, yet the attached resources that explain and educate on why it’s an issue, and how to fix, are fantastic. It’s all easy to read / comprehend and detailed enough to lead to the changes that are needed. This really makes the work a lot easier for those that are not a ‘specialist’ in the field. Highly Recommend.

Despite the deadline being pushed back an entire year (which I’m thankful for), Equalize Digital’s Accessibility Checker plugin has been an integral part of our Accessibility remediation efforts. As a developer for a county government office, I have multiple websites that need to meet web accessibility compliance to ensure all of our visitors are able to access our websites across the board regardless of their needs. What I love the most about this tool is that it helps you identify concerns and gives you advice on remediation, helping you learn how to design and create with accessibility in mind from the ground up.

Accessibility Checker identifies its own widget as being out of compliance: This element uses aria-hidden="true", which hides it from screen readers.
