High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 11+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 4.2.39, well behind 6.8.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Absolutely spot on. In spite of not being updated for more than a year, the plugin does exactly what it says. And does it well.

Absolutely fantastic, every design decision is spot on, looks like native WordPress. Options to configure as you need per-post-type and being able to pre-populate the wysiwyg is a great optional bonus. I have a site with multiple post types, many authors and some very specific posting requirements. Following instructions written elsewhere hasn’t proven that effective but I’m confident having instructions directly next to the fields is going to make everything go so much more smoothly.

Being able to add instructions anywhere on a page is a real awesome feature. Alternatives just porpose one fix position (as a top wiodget or in sidebar). This one really offer the possibility to write details instructions, written as the right place ! 🙂 It still needs some features (such as Custom fields support) but it is already pretty nice ! Thanks for sharing this for free !

This plugin is great for teaching or reminding content managers how to properly add content to their sites. It works especially well for sites with many post types and works well with multisite, too. Now, clients won’t get confused or miss adding content to their sites! I’ve used custom functions to add instructions for quite a while, but the options screen with this plugin makes it a whole lot easier to setup on multiple installations. Hopefully, you’ll find this plugin useful, too!
