Biggest opportunity: Swap “backup” for “webdav”. “backup” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “webdav” sits at #19 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

How it's measured →0.8%
of downloads still active
At least 40 of 4.9K lifetime downloads are still running, below its category: the median Backup plugin keeps 1.6%, across 282 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Backup plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 8 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

Estimated active installs
The public count shows “40+”. Our estimate pins where the real number sits.
Crossed into this band 3 months ago and a band this size takes about a year or more to cross, so the real count is still just over 40.
At the current install trend, crossing 50+ in roughly 402 days.

atec Backup stands out for its speed, simplicity, and efficiency. Unlike bloated alternatives, this plugin is incredibly lightweight (only 118 KB!) and barely affects my site’s performance.Flexible Backup Options – I can choose to back up only the database, only files, or both. The ability to exclude specific tables and folders is a huge plus!Scheduling & Automation – Set it and forget it! WP-Cron integration ensures automated backups without extra effort.Secure Storage – Local storage works great, and the PRO version adds FTP support for extra peace of mind. The setup is super easy, and I had my first backup done within a minute. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense, effective backup solution, this is it!
