Biggest opportunity: Add “buddypress message” and “private message” to your wp.org tags. You rank #6 and #19 for them without listing them, close enough for a declared tag to move you up. WordPress.org counts only your first five tags, so with 3 listed these are the slots worth spending.

Install conversion
How it's measured →0.9%
of downloads still active
At least 200 of 22.7K lifetime downloads are still running, above its category: the median Uncategorized plugin keeps 0.6%, across 17,772 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Uncategorized plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.

wp.org is where the directory puts the plugin for that search. On merit is where it would sit if results were ranked on rating, support and updates, without the install boost. The last column is how far the wp.org position moved, from our first reading in the last 90 days to the latest.
| Keyword | wp.org | On merit | wp.org move, 90 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| buddypress message | #6 | #12 | up 1 |
| private message | #19 | #22 | down 2 |

| buddypress your tag | Not in the top 24 | ||
| messages your tag | Not in the top 24 | ||
3 searches this plugin appeared in over the last 90 days, 2 listed. 1 left out as unrelated or noise (years, numbers, stray words). 3 of its tags aren't in the top 24 for their own search.

It works the way it is supposed to, but I was expecting more. Users can attach/upload files, but the recipient has to download the file in order to view it, even an image. Please make it work like Facebook or Whatsapp, so when the file is attached it gets instantly displayed on the screen. This will also serve as a preview for the user to consider sending the file or not.

Despite adding formats in both lower and upper case (which shouldn’t be a problem to begin with), I can not send messages with a “jpg” attachment. “png” will send but viewing the attachment doesn’t work. They even spelt attachment wrong – “attachement”.
