Biggest opportunity: Swap “forms”, “form” and “contact form 7” for “jquery comment form validation”, “multistep form” and “cf7”. “forms” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “jquery comment form validation” sits at #5 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “form” isn't earning its slot: it only gets you to #24. “multistep form” sits at #5 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “contact form 7” isn't earning its slot: it only gets you to #12. “cf7” sits at #7 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

How it's measured →1.4%
of downloads still active
At least 100K of 7.2M lifetime downloads are still running, in line with its category: the median Forms plugin keeps 1.2%, across 1,668 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Forms plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 23 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- Swap “forms”, “form” and “contact form 7” for “jquery comment form validation”, “multistep form” and “cf7”.
- One page off on “contact form 7”. #12 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.

This is such an amazing extension for CF7. It’s incredibly easy to use. It works perfectly. With a little experimentation you can convert long and tedious forms into a much simpler experience that changes with user input, showing them only the items that they need.
