Biggest opportunity: Swap “map”, “maps” and “store locator” for “map plugin”, “picking” and “google map”. “map” isn't earning its slot: it only gets you to #22. “map plugin” sits at #8 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “maps” isn't earning its slot: it only gets you to #21. “picking” sits at #8 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “store locator” isn't earning its slot: it only gets you to #18. “google map” sits at #13 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. Install conversion
How it's measured →1.1%
of downloads still active
At least 10K of 947.6K lifetime downloads are still running, in line with its category: the median eCommerce plugin keeps 1.4%, across 5,149 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other eCommerce plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 5 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- Swap “map”, “maps” and “store locator” for “map plugin”, “picking” and “google map”. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.
- Under-ranked on “store locator”. wp.org puts you #18; on merit you place #8. The plugins above you are winning on install count, not on rating or upkeep.
- One page off on “google maps”. #15 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.

We have 5 Salon Suite Rental locations in the Las Vegas Valley. The Google maps plugin is great for not confusing the locations. Nothing would work better and be more understandable for our potential tenants. This topic was modified 3 months, 3 weeks ago by mgkoll. This topic was modified 3 months, 3 weeks ago by mgkoll.

I’ve used another Google Maps plugin for a long time, but because of the cost difference, I decided to give WP Google Map a try. And I must say, I have never received faster or better support for ANY WordPress plugin or product. The pro version of this plugin is definitely worth what is costs. The support is awesome.

Hi, I just want to share a display error on my website (the map could not be seen) that was resolved, and the cause was some misconfiguration on the Speedy Cache plugin. So thanks to the support guy I could resolve this problem!
