How it's measured →5.0%
of downloads still active
At least 300 of 6K lifetime downloads are still running, above its category: the median SEO plugin keeps 1.2%, across 1,193 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other SEO plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 4 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- One page off on “image sitemap”. #14 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.
- One page off on “video sitemap”. #11 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.
- One page off on “xml sitemap”. #16 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.
- “seo” and “sitemaps” aren't earning a slot. You list them, but you're not in the first 24 results for those searches. WordPress.org counts only your first five tags, so free the slot for a search you can win.

I needed an image sitemap that was light weight and worked properly on larger websites. Having it just integrate with Yoast was a plus. I tried other image sitemap plugins but they either have tons of features stuck behind a paywall or cause the image sitemap to become so large it becomes a 500 error code for how long it takes to load. I just needed something that makes a simple sitemap, updates itself with new images and videos and actually loads the image sitemap.
