What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. The recent download trend is too spiky to read.

Jetpack Protect is useful as a basic security layer and it does help draw attention to potential vulnerabilities and plugin-related issues. However, the way some warnings are presented can be unnecessarily alarming and difficult to interpret. As a website owner, I do not just need to be told that something may be wrong. I also need a clear explanation of how serious the issue is, whether it is currently exploitable, and what action is actually required. In my case, some messages created more uncertainty than clarity and led to additional investigation that ultimately revealed no immediate critical problem. The plugin still has value, and I would rather receive a warning than miss a genuine security issue. But the diagnostic quality, severity classification, and recommended next steps should be much more precise. Overall, Jetpack Protect is a useful tool, but it would be significantly better if it communicated risks in a calmer, clearer, and more technically actionable way.
