Biggest opportunity: Swap “listing search” for “idx search”. “listing search” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “idx search” sits at #15 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

How it's measured →0.7%
of downloads still active
At least 60 of 8.3K lifetime downloads are still running, in line with its category: the median Search plugin keeps 0.7%, across 645 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Search plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 25 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- Swap “listing search” for “idx search”. “listing search” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “idx search” sits at #15 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.
- One page off on “idx”. #15 puts you just past the first ten results, where almost all the clicks stop. The gap to close is small.

Directory rank
Ranked about #19,100 to #20,000, alongside the other plugins at 60+ installs. Plugins with the same install count swap places between wp.org requests, so this is where most of them sit. Checked monthly, last on 21 Oct 2026.
Update activity
Downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites.
Not enough installs to measure. This needs at least 100 active sites; below that, a handful of downloads reads as tens of thousands.

Estimated active installs
The public count shows “60+”. Our estimate pins where the real number sits.
Crossed into this band yesterday and a band this size takes about a year or more to cross, so the real count is still just under 70.
At the current install trend, crossing 70+ in roughly 258 days.

The Lofty WordPress plugin should work beautifully, but the combination of two great techs was abysmal. The pages I created just disappeared and were not real pages at all that Google would recognize and reward me for. I spent an entire day trying to get it to work, and it was a complete waste of time. I am hoping that I will be able to get my money back. Everyone should beware of this plugin.
