High removal-risk signals

63/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 6+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Compatibility drift. Tested only up to WordPress 5.3.23, well behind 6.8.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Less is more. Light is better. You original idea is awesome. Keep going ! These updates would be appreciate : – an update to use the new Google Map API, – make it 100% WPML compatible (join translated locations using shortcode static map) – be able to add our own custom taxonomy from the dashboard

Plugin is useless as it has zero functionality. Probably needs a minor update, but currently has no support and no updates.

This is a fantastic plugin for doing one thing. But if you are looking at doing more than one thing look at WP-Geo which also has this functionality plus more. http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-geo/ This plugin does not work with custom taxonomies in the same way that it does with tags and categories nor does it allow one to choose more than one taxonomy. That is a bit disappointing. The admin screen does not let the admin choose where the map viewer will be directed to. The viewer is directed to the tag archive. As an admin being able to direct someone to a page or other location is important. The WP-visited countries plugin allows the admin to select where the map user/view will be directed when they click on the map. http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-visited-countries/ However, the user interface for selecting a location for a built in taxonomy is well done. It well implemented so that you can quickly and easily associate tag “terms” with a location. Well-done.
