Biggest opportunity: Swap “schema”, “seo” and “social media” for “e e a t”, “preferred sources” and “ai crawlers”. “schema” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “e e a t” sits at #4 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “seo” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “preferred sources” sits at #5 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “social media” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “ai crawlers” sits at #15 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

How it's measured →2.6%
of downloads still active
At least 200 of 7.7K lifetime downloads are still running, above its category: the median SEO plugin keeps 1.2%, across 1,193 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other SEO plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 30 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

What to do about it
- Swap “schema”, “seo” and “social media” for “e e a t”, “preferred sources” and “ai crawlers”. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

via wordpress.orgShare of active installs on each version of this plugin. Green is the current release; a big slice on older versions is a user base that has stopped updating.
Estimated active installs
The public count shows “200+”. Our estimate pins where the real number sits.
Crossed into this band 47 days ago and a band this size takes about a year or more to cross, so the real count is still just over 200.
At the current install trend, crossing 300+ in roughly 134 days.

The OGEETAT plugin is a must use tool. Nothing and no other tool is more important that using OGEETAT if gaining “citations” on AI platforms, large language models as well as ensuring old school Search Engine Rank visibility is your goal. Why do I say this? Because I personal manage SEO/AEO and Generative Engine Optimization work three well known top agencies in the USA. Now that we’ve put OGEETAT to use we’re scoring 100% on every website that we touch. This topic was modified 2 weeks, 5 days ago by Kevin D. James.
