Removal-risk signals

53/100

Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 5+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Falling behind WordPress. Tested up to WordPress 5.7.17.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

At first this appears to work but you don’t get the image you selected due to the path being incorrect and then you open the error console and look at the vast number of messages… and then you realise you can no longer customise your theme. So probably best avoided for now.

This works nicely on our sites, and it worked out of the box without having to do any debugging. Quite happy with it, particularly since it worked right away without having to spend a lot of time with it! Plus the widgets look good and it gives you options for the sidebar etc.

Not much use without buying the Premium version. Pity, they had an old version (2) which used to show boards.

I wanted to be able to embed more that one pin on a page – not possible without additional knowledge/plugins coding knowledge required, and I needed to purchase the Advanced Option to find this out. The free version did not include the Top Pin function. Nowhere in the support documentation does it refer to the need to have Widget Logic to have it functioning. It mentions the need to “have working knowledge of the WordPress infrastructure itself” – I consider that the depth of knowledge required to get this to work as required is much deeper that a working knowledge Refund refused, despite me requesting within hours of purchasing, when I discovered plugin would not fulfil my requirements – disappointing.

This is a nice plugin… I use it to display my portfolio board on my new site (not yet live). It was easy to set up once I figured out that I needed to add parameters at the bottom of the page. 🙂 Thanks! Bud
