Polylang WordPress Plugin – 5 Star রিভিউ ওয়েবসাইটে একাধিক ভাষা দিতে গেলে মাথায় প্রথম যে ভয়টা আসে: “সাইট স্লো হবে, SEO ভেঙে যাবে, আর কনফিগ করতে 3 দিন লাগবে।” Polylang এই 3টা ভয়ই এক ক্লিকে উড়িয়ে দেয়। আমি গত 2 বছর ধরে 4টা ক্লায়েন্ট সাইটে Polylang চালাচ্ছি — বাংলা, ইংরেজি, আরবি RTL সহ। তাই রিভিউটা হাইপ না, হাতের অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে। 1. ফ্রি ভার্সনেই যা দেয়, পেইড প্লাগিন লজ্জা পায় পোস্ট, পেইজ, ক্যাটাগরি, ট্যাগ, কাস্টম পোস্ট টাইপ, মেনু, উইজেট — সবকিছুর জন্য আলাদা ভাষার কন্টেন্ট বানানো যায়। ভাষা সুইচার শর্টকোড/উইজেট/মেনু আইটেম হিসেবে বসে। একটা টাকাও খরচ না করে আপনি প্রফেশনাল মাল্টিল্যাঙ্গুয়েজ সাইট চালাতে পারবেন। WPML যেখানে $39 থেকে শুরু, Polylang সেখানে ফ্রি। 2. পারফরম্যান্সে 10/10 Polylang ডাটাবেজে আলাদা টেবিল বানায় না। ওয়ার্ডপ্রেসের নেটিভ ট্যাক্সোনমি ব্যবহার করে। ফলে সাইট স্লো হয় না। আমার WooCommerce + Elementor সাইটে 3 ভাষা চালানোর পরেও GTmetrix স্কোর 95+ থাকে। WPML-এ যেখানে কুয়েরি 2x হয়ে যায়, Polylang লাইটওয়েট। 3. SEO ফ্রেন্ডলি, হার্ডকোর প্রতিটা ভাষার জন্য আলাদা URL স্লাগ: site.com/en/about, site.com/bn/আমাদের-সম্পর্কে। hreflang ট্যাগ অটো বসে যায়। Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress — সবার সাথে 100% কম্প্যাটিবল। Google-কে আলাদা করে বোঝানো লাগে না কোনটা কোন ভাষা। সার্চে র্যাঙ্ক করতে কোনো ঝামেলা হয়নি। 4. ইউজার-ফ্রেন্ডলি ক্লায়েন্টকে 5 মিনিটে শেখানো যায়। পোস্ট এডিটরের পাশে “+” বাটন, ক্লিক করলেই ওই পোস্টের অন্য ভাষার ভার্সন তৈরি হয়। মিডিয়া, ACF ফিল্ড, Elementor — সব কপি করে দেয়, শুধু টেক্সট ট্রান্সলেট করলেই হয়। ক্লায়েন্ট খুশি, আমি খুশি। 5. ডেভেলপার-বান্ধব + ইকোসিস্টেম Polylang Pro নিলে WooCommerce ইন্টিগ্রেশন, স্ট্রিং ট্রান্সলেশন, ACF সাপোর্ট সব পাবেন। Lingotek অ্যাডঅন দিয়ে অটো-ট্রান্সলেশনও হয়। ফিল্টার/হুক প্রচুর, তাই কাস্টম সাইটে কাজ করতে গিয়ে আটকাইনি কখনো। কমিউনিটি সাপোর্ট অ্যাকটিভ, ডকুমেন্টেশন ক্লিয়ার। খুঁত নাই? একটাই: ফ্রি ভার্সনে স্ট্রিং ট্রান্সলেশন নাই। থিমের “Read More”, “Search” এগুলো অনুবাদ করতে Loco Translate লাগে। আর অটো-ট্রান্সলেশন ফিচার ফ্রি-তে নেই। কিন্তু $99-এর Pro ভার্সন WPML-এর চেয়ে সস্তা এবং হালকা। শেষ কথা: বাজেট কম, সাইট ফাস্ট রাখতে চান, আর ক্লায়েন্টকে ঝামেলা ছাড়া মাল্টিল্যাঙ্গুয়েজ দিতে চান — Polylang 5/5 স্টার। আমি নিজে WPML থেকে সুইচ করেছি, ব্যাক করার কারণ পাইনি। ছোট ব্লগ হোক বা এন্টারপ্রাইজ সাইট, Polylang সেটআপ করো, ভাষা বাড়াও, বিজনেস বাড়াও। Simple.
