Maintenance and integrity signals that tend to precede a WordPress.org removal. Not an official status, a heads-up to act.

  • Long abandoned. No update in 6+ years — the top precursor to removal once a vulnerability is found.
  • Falling behind WordPress. Tested up to WordPress 5.4.21.

Update activity

How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

Est. acquisition value

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

Thus far, the plugin has worked for most use cases. I would however recommend the following: Allowing links (website, hotline, WhatsApp) to open in a new/blank tab. Whilst most responsible businesses have no problem displaying the banner and directing traffic to the website and contact numbers; they also don’t want to lose their active visitors. Either allowing for custom color options for links in the banner or forcing the COVID-19 site color scheme (“!important”). I have found a few situations where the theme styling affected the links (white links on white background) and needed to add custom CSS. Other than the above, I believe that this plugin provides one of the easiest ways to to fulfill legal requirements and share factual information regarding COVID-19 in South Africa. If you run a South African based site and simply wish to add a banner that adds a link to valued information on the matter → this does so perfectly. @seagyn definitely builds quality and keen to see his other plugins after experiencing this one.
