Biggest opportunity: Swap “comments”, “reviews” and “shortcode” for “star rating”, “page rating” and “post rating”. “comments” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “star rating” sits at #7 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “reviews” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “page rating” sits at #8 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. “shortcode” isn't earning its slot: you're not in the first 24 results for its own search. “post rating” sits at #10 untagged, close enough for a declared tag to move it up. All five slots are taken, so one has to go.

How it's measured →2.7%
of downloads still active
At least 1K of 36.8K lifetime downloads are still running, above its category: the median Uncategorized plugin keeps 0.6%, across 17,765 plugins.
Downloads count every update, not just first installs, so older and more frequently released plugins read lower. Compare against other Uncategorized plugins, not across the directory. wp.org reports active installs as the bottom of a band, so the real rate is this or higher.
This plugin shipped 2 releases in the last 12 months, and every existing install that updated counted as another download. wp.org publishes no split between first installs and updates, so we show the raw rate rather than guess at one.

Update activity
How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Does what it says. I tried 3 other Plugins to get my CPT ratings, but due to heavy customization in the comments template (and form) none of them worked. This one integrates without any problems. The only thing I’d like to see is an option to hide or customize the average rating text – for now it’s not possible to only show the average number without additional text. Hiding all text with CSS doesn’t work too, because the text is in plain HTML without a class. I would like to have it like this: <div class="stars-avg-rating"> <span class="rating-stars">...</span> <span class="rating-text">3.5 based on 2 reviews</span> </div> Would enable more options for styling.
