Update activity
How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value
What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.
Est. annual revenue
Est. acquisition value
No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

my only problem was the loss of query-params when I share a link without language-slugi changed redirect_uncanonical in class-site.php: $query_string = parse_url($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'], PHP_URL_QUERY);if (!empty($query_string)) $query_string = '?' . $query_string;wp_redirect($url . $query_string); orginal was just wp_redirect($url);//don’t just copy this code ;-P should be done a bit more beautiful but solved my needs This topic was modified 1 year, 11 months ago by herzla. This is by far the best plugin I found. Simple and minimalist, not too many options and blends in nicely – thats how it should be! Thank you for offering it for free! For future development support for the FSE menus would be necessary I guess.

This is definitely the best multi-language plugin in WordPress world. It’s even better than those paid plugins. It also support Gutenberg block editor. I hope it can be updated because now it can’t translate the navigation menu (Navigation Menus) created by FSE (Full Site Editor). This topic was modified 3 years, 8 months ago by eddy0522.

The plugin was not updated for 8 months, so I’m wondering if others have this problem as well. When switching to a different language, the webpage just keeps loading. It only works sporadically. This topic was modified 4 years, 7 months ago by leoniehoever.

After a pretty long time with no updates, I feared that this plugin was abandoned, BUT after the two recent updates, confirming that the future of “Sublanguage” is bright and real, I am encouraged to post my undoubtedly 5-star review of this plugin, which I’ve been using since 2018 or so. Let me elaborate my review title. You won’t find a fancy interface in “Sublanguage” (no need to), and this is great, because “Sublanguage” goes straight to the point, making this plugin soooo lightweight and fast on the frontend. You are required to do some work on your end to get it configured, probably even after a couple of trial and error testings. But once you master this plugin, the results are highly rewarding on your site. While others don’t allow you to translate urls, or CPTs, or taxonomies, “Sublanguage” allows you to do all this, and MUCH more. The most powerful translating feature requires a little digging into the field names, because you need to translate them from the Translation Options page, but once you get familiar with it, you’ll be able to translate strings you’re not usually allowed to in other translation plugins. Or elements like the menu logo, which is a very hard task to do in other popular paid translation plugins, or even the featured image. You will be able to translate all that as long as you are willing to know “the guts” of your own website. “Sublanguage” is the magic wand, but you are the magician. I’m also positive to say that “Sublanguage” is the fastest translation plugin. Unlike others, you won’t spend that annoying delay time to load translated strings, (other translation plugins load translated strings as if they were “sticky notes” on the source strings and you can see how they change in front of your eyes from the source language to the translated one). “Sublanguage” handles the soooooooooo complicated WordPress translation process in an unbelievably brilliant way. Thank you, Maxime, for not letting us down with this amazing plugin, and for your amazing support every time we need it. Thank you fo mantaining it to WordPress’ critical changes (like you did when Gutenberg came in, or the recent 5.7 one). THANK YOU!!!

All I can say is, this plugin doesn’t unnecessarily change how your site works. Good for devs, bad for people who are lazy/don’t want to understand how translations in WordPress work. My only concern is it will be abandonned. To the DEV: I hope you’re still working on it and have a team to support you. Adding languages in the native WP menus is a little quirky but WORKS. I have not tested with Woocommerce, but using it on quite a few of my content sites. Great for developers and websites trying to keep a lightweight multilingual site (WPML is garbage + a big liability in this regard).

Im writing a review for this plugin, first to say thank you to the developer for creating such an elegant translation plugin. I have been wanting to translate a 200 post / woocommerce website from Spanish to English. I wanted a translation plugin that did not slow my site down, all translations were on my server. Full control. Cost effective. Simple. Over the course of 3 months i tested and re-built my site on staging server 3 times with the following plugins: Test 1) Transpoosh Initially i was very impressed at the speed of automatic google translation, HOWEVER, it causes more trouble than its worth with regards SEO, meta data, urls. Test 2) Translate Press It looks promising, however it costs if you want seo, urls and have to pay every year for software updates. Its very good, however in the end i realised that i was always going to be tied in to a product that for me was costing each year. Test & Winner: Sublanguage. Its main plus points are: 1) Its simple Granular, you can edit all elements. 2) Perfect for SEO: urls, meta data, descriptions. 3) Uses system of inheritance of posts / woocommerce. 4) All content stored in your posts database 5) No ongoing costs 6) Clean and simple So, if your looking to translate a wordpress site / shop and want control over SEO 100% Its not as quick and easy as Translate Press. But i think the effort is worth it for full control.
