How busy the existing users are, measured as downloads in the last 30 days for every 1,000 active sites. A spike means a new release everyone's pulling; a long, slow decline means an aging user base that updates less.

Estimated value

What this plugin might earn a year, and what it might sell for. Modeled from public signals; we don't see anyone's books.

Est. annual revenue

N/A

Est. acquisition value

N/A

No paid tier is visible, so we don't put a figure on revenue or sale value: that would be guessing. The install base is a real asset to an acquirer, just not one public data lets us price. A small install base leaves thin data to model from.

–UPDATED REVIEW– I’ve updated my review to reflect changes made to the plugin in V2.0. The reset password link is hidden as expected. Additionally, even if a user manually goes to the www.mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword site they are unable to reset their password. They’re presented with a message that says, “Password reset is not allowed for this user.” Look like everything is working as expected, and I believe it should now completely prevent people from changing passwords via this method. As such I’m giving it 5 stars. ___ –ORIGINAL REVIEW– 2/5 Stars This plugin does hide the reset password link as advertised, but it does it via jQuery. I was able to type in www.mysite.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword and gain access to the reset password form. As such, this plugin works to prevent most ordinary users from resetting passwords, but malicious users will still be able to reset their password via email–they just need to know to type in the link. I’d recommend this if you’re hiding password resets for aesthetic reasons, but not if you’re doing it for security reasons.
